Review of The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999) by Anne F — 15 Feb 2010
It's a pity Matt Damon was cast as the eponymous talented Mr Ripley - his wooden acting may have conveyed the psychological problems faced by the character he played, but didn't make the way his character hid what he had done believable.
Jude Law's part was extremely convincing- it's such a shame he was the supporting actor! It was an interesting story though, so now I have to find Plein Soleil which is an earlier retelling of the same tale.
