Review of The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999) by Robert H — 22 Dec 2010
A classy, subtle, sophisticated, and perfectly creepy film, The Talented Mr. Ripley goes above and beyond "thriller" into a different genre entirely: one that examines a character from so many angles that a viewer can find themselves frightened to emphasize with him so deeply.
Matt Damon's finest role to date, a real tour de force, and the locations are gorgeous.
