Review of The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999) by Ben O — 01 Apr 2010
Truly chilling. exactly the result you would expect from a mixture of fantastic film making and outstanding acting. the story immerses you in the crazed mindset of tom ripley, a "nobody" living in new york. during the film we see just how far he will go to obtain tge liftime he dreams of, exorcising his very own philosophy, "it's better to be a fake somebody than a real nobody.".
the only complaint I have about this film is that it goes on perhaps a little longer than it ought to and loses some momentum towards the end. but apart from it dragging on a bit, an outstanding must see movie!
