Review of The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999) by Derk D — 25 Jul 2015
Any praise for this movie is too little. The screenplay is adapted so well from the book that is almost feels like new material altogether. If you've seen the first movie take on the book, the French version "Plein Soleil", or "Purple Noon" as it is known in English, then you will really appreciate the extent of Minghella's genius and creativity in storytelling.
A must see, by all means!
