Anthony Minghella's adaption of Patricia Highsmith's The Talentet Mr. Ripley is after my opinion the best thriller ever made, The set-up isn't something that no movie have done before, but the characters, the acting preformances are trulley wonderfull. This picture has character. This is a movie I love to add to my favorit list.

This is the story of a talented young man named Tom Ripley who struggle to make a living in New York, the only thing that is possible is to cheat his way through life. Identity theft is just one of his specialities. Will this way of life last for ever?

The Talented Mr. Ripley is such a well made masterpiece, they got all the timings right, they got all suprises onboard. But the best thing is the wonderfull screenplay with all the characters, specialy Tom Ripley, though he does the things he does we still feel for him and know that we wound't have done it better ourself. We have Jude Law in his amazing breakthrough preformance as the good looking and self centred rich mans son Dickie Greenleaf. Add this movie with Wim Wenders' The American Friend based on Ripley's Game and you got yourself a perfect evening.
