Review of The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999) by Al P — 19 Feb 2010
Gosh! I totally missed the bus on this one. I'm seeing this movie in 2010! However, Damon has compeletely baffled me with his performance as Ripley. He methodologically breathes and builds this fantastically layered character that Ripley is, making him invincible with those eerie voice impersonations.
Everything in this movie was simply perfect especially the end where we finally are confronted with the many truths of Ripley. I think this movie would have benefitted from being more abrupt in that it should have caught us by surprise.
