One of the better kids movies I've seen in terms of visuals. I agree, the plot was kind of scattered, but I think that this is especially one of the better childrens movies that's based on a book.
When I was a kid, I read the book and I liked it. I saw that they were making a movie, I thought "hey! I liked the book, maybe I'll like the movie". I was kinda right in assuming that. Nothing more to say, but I enjoyed it despite its imperfections.
