Review of The Taking of Pelham One Two Three (1974) by Sam W — 17 Jun 2012
The remake doesn't even hold a candle next to this 1974 original. Robert Shaw and Walter Matthau are the coolest cats on opposite sides of the law. The suspense is tight without relying on heavy action and the ending is just awesome. One of the great thrillers of any decade.
Grade: A-.
