Review of The Taking of Deborah Logan (2014) by Brandon W — 22 Dec 2014
When I'm on Netflix, I always see that movie on the list, never taking a good look at it, nor knowing what it's about. I saw the trailer, and that didn't peaked my interest, until I realize that Bryan Singer, director of X-Men and X-Men Days of Future Past, is the producer of The Taking of Deborah Logan.
I wondered why he did produced it, until I watched it. The movie is great and got me very interested. The pacing of it goes by surprisingly fast, which is refreshing to see and more horror films need to do that.
The characters are really good and really smart. The history of it is interesting, and there's some scares that are effective and never seem to be jump scares. The acting is great, and it made me wonder about where's it going at times.
The ending is really good, and it has funny moments in it. It's not really groundbreaking or not that entirely original, but it'll entertain horror fans and for Netflix people can just give it a watch.
