Review of The Taking of Deborah Logan (2014) by La L — 06 May 2016
The film has a sort of interesting premise, launching off of Alzheimer's as its topic. But it's too lazy of a movie to fully commit to anything it's attempting to do and it's almost as if they skip over certain parts they either can't explain or would rather not; "here's A, B, no C, here's D.
" Boring, sluggish pace, not exactly scary despite a few jumps here and there, and it's shot in the tired style of found footage, but the film's flow and its actors are so unnatural and wooden that it doesn't even feel like found footage film (at least Paranormal Activity pulled that off well).
Stay away.
