Review of The Sword in the Stone (1963) by Jaime L — 17 Jun 2017
For a movie called "The Sword In The Stone" there is hardly anything in here about the title of the film. instead the viewer is subjected To Merlin turning the Arthur kid into several animals and being chased by predators, Merlin having a duel with a rival wizard and having Arthurs foster brother training for a tournament.
It is all so pointless, a series of skits really, none of which has anything to do with Arthur becoming king, the whole thing seems to just happen by accident. Then there is the terrible animation. How far Disney fell from the greatness of the earlier films.
One of the worst animated Disney films I've seen. Didn't even like this as a kid, just as bad as I recall.
