Review of The Sword in the Stone (1963) by Trevor R — 09 Apr 2013
"The Sword in the Stone" lacks focus and major dramatic stakes, but the various episodic adventures are a ton of fun (particularly the sad and sweet bit with the squirrels). Karl Swenson and Junius Matthews are hilarious as Merlin and Archimedes, respectively, and the wizard's duel is one of the cleverest and most exciting action sequences ever.
