Review of The Sword and the Sorcerer (1982) by Russell G — 23 Aug 2008
Ok, so the hero has a three bladed sword; that pretty cool right? Then it shoots two of it's three blades like rockets! OMG 4 stars! Ok, in all seriousness it isn't the best 80's fantasy movie, but it is better than a whole lot of them.
The main character does totally pull himself, nails and all, off a crucification rack and then proceed to kick some ass. Gratuitous nudity, decent amounts of blood, and and despite the low production values you get the sense that they did put effort into this one; what more could you want?
