Review of The Switch (2010) by Ron N — 09 Jun 2011
We watched this one night looking for a romantic comedy that we hadn't seen and this fit the bill. I forgot how literate an actor Jason Bateman can be. He was quite good in this. Jennifer Aniston was pretty good, but I have to say I really enjoyed the scenes of Jason Bateman and Sebastian who no one knows is his son, learning to consider what it means to move beyond just friendship with Kassie and move into considering happiness for someone else (Sebastian) above himself or his own concerns.
The TIVO description for this movie was accurate...an offbeat, romantic comedy. It is not as light or as funny or as original but it takes the idea of a sperm donor mix up and friendship and runs with it.
