Review of The Switch (2010) by Nick C — 17 Mar 2012
I will be honest, the concept turned me off on this film. I feel like Jennifer Aniston plays the same role in every film. But after the initial farcical idea moves on to the actual realization of the situation.
Jason Bateman is great in this role. Also, the young man who plays Sebastian is incredible. But the thing that grabbed me about this film is the importance of a Father in the life of a child. Also, that regardless of our personality type and abilities, the best man in the life of a child is his father.
Pleasantly surprised, my suggestion is to rent it. Wait for the last hour of the film and it will reward you for enduring through the set up of the story.
