3 Stars basically for Jason Bateman's performance alone! This movie takes typical rom-com conventions and puts a real world spin on them (except for the whole...swapping sperm samples thing). Jennifer Aniston's character could've been played by pretty much anyone, she is pretty forgettable.
If it wasn't for Bateman's performance, some of this movie, alot of this movie would fall flat. Patrick Wilson and Jeff Goldblum are standouts and I wish there was more of them in this film. Finally a rom-com that isn't just about 2 people falling in love but a REAL story about life and the way it plays out.
Premise put on it's ear, great performances, this is a rom-com MOST guys wouldn't mind watching. Highly Recommended.
