Moments of tenderheartedness give The Switch a breath of life but not much more. The chemistry between Anniston and Bateman is nonexistent but in a small way works towards the awkwardness that the plot relies so heavily on for its dark comedy.
The Switch is a rather dull rom-com that is short on humor and not all that enjoyable.
