Review of The Sweet Hereafter (1997) by Ian R — 03 Oct 2008
A very powerful portrait of people trying to grieve. Egoyan's direction is deliberate and a bit mysterious, and the every actor seems to really embody their character. egoyan's addition of the pied piper poem perfectly elevated the themes of the story.
this may be one of my 10 favorite films from the 90s.
