Review of The Sweet Hereafter (1997) by Jonathan B — 11 Dec 2008

Good overall film, but it gets a little too pretentious and bordered on corny at times. The acting was good for the most part, but I think Ian Holm might have hammed it up a little. Visually it was stunning and a lot of people are going to be really haunted by the difficult subject matter.

I might be nit picking a little because I really liked the book a lot and was probably holding this film to higher standards than I usually do.
