Review of The Sweet Hereafter (1997) by Tor M — 04 Sep 2010
Well made flick. It's tense and sad and it finds the perfect balance of the two. The story is great and the way we get to know the villagers reactions to the accident is wonderfully led by Ian Holm.
His, and most of the other performances are very good. I also loved the pace - it kept me into the movie the entire playtime. The superb shooting and camera work should also be mentioned. Not much wrong with this one.
