Review of The Sweet Hereafter (1997) by Cheryl C — 07 Jan 2011
This is a beautifully made movie about several horrifying realities. The foremost tragedy is complemented by the main character's personal strife. There's a small-town element that makes everything feel incestuous (ironically), or at least like you are travelling where you haven't been invited.
Sarah Polley shines, as she would later go on to do as an adult.
