Review of The Sure Thing (1985) by Katie M — 24 Sep 2007
Okay, to any fans of John Cusack, if you haven't already seen this you have to see it now. He's beautiful in it, and he's only 17 but he's pitch-perfect. How anyone can not fall in love with him at first sight is beyond me.
I'd been informed that this was a great movie, but it's really just a slightly-above-average teen romcom. It seems to be that rarest of rare things - a romcom for guys. It talks about sex but it's about love, and they sneak the love in there so that you can't escape it. John Cusack is great and there are some really funny moments from him (and from Tim Robbins' role, which is so funny) but it's not that special.
