Review of The Sure Thing (1985) by Curtis R — 08 Apr 2008
My top pick in the John Cusack triple crown. Cusack is hilarious as Walter "Gib" Gibson, a freshman at a New England university who travels west to California to meet his "Sure Thing" set up by his buddy.
He is joined in his travels by Allison(played wonderfully by the beautiful and talented Daphne Zuniga) as his prudish uptight classmate who is also going to California to see her equally if not more bookwormish fiance.
Hilarity ensues along the way and Gib realizes that a Sure Thing(Sheridan) isnt as satisfying as a Good Thing(Zuniga).
