I personally loved it, I was smiling through it and all of the easter eggs and references were a nice touch. this movie was made for fans and kids, not someone who has movie critic as their job title unless they are also gamers.

For Chris pratt, the thing most people were up in arms about doesn't even matter. he did the job perfectly and his voice was suited for the role and not annoying like most over the top crap you hear these days. Charlie Day and Jack Black were the star of the show with Toad's VA nailing it. Seth Rogan suited Donkey Kong very well and wouldn't have chosen anyone else. the VA for peach was pretty good.

Story wise it was average, not fully predictable luckily so it had me on my seat a few times.

Watch it before you critic it from the trailers and trash paid critics.
