Review of The Sun Comes Up (1949) by Greg W — 30 Aug 2013
Sun Comes Up is a cute film. It is about a bereaved war widow who learns to to put aside her bitterness and grief as she grows to love a young orphan boy and the dog that belonged to her late son. Jeanette MacDonald and Lloyd Nolan give excellent performances.
The screenplay is well written. Richard Thorpe did a great job directing this movie. I enjoyed watching this motion picture because of the humor and the drama. Sun Comes Up is a must see.
