Review of The Sun (2005) by Erica B — 08 Feb 2008
An interesting, if unfocused and overly stagnant view of the end of WWII from a (somewhat) Japanese perspective. The visuals are unassuming and the pacing is tedious. Although I have never really liked Sokurov (I much prefer Béla Tarr and Andrei Tarkovsky).
