Review of The Sun (2005) by Pavandeep S — 15 Sep 2008
One of the finer moments in acting I have seen. Issey Ogata portrays a man wth infinite power and control but a lack of will to do so and who is just wanting to live his life day by day and hopes for it to end.
I found the portrayal beautiful as it shows his wanting, like when he dances in the ballroom, but doesn't fall into pathetic traps of a rich man wanting the simple things in life nonsense. This here is a man who adjusted already and has worked with it and we see his flaws as it has many repercussions and ripples.
