Deserves better than most give it credit for. For example a doomsday device which, unlike most of its counterpart movies is stopped in its last dying seconds, is unleashed and we get to see the resulting fallout.
However, the lack of continuity between this and its predecessors, ie: no link to red october and harrisins two, yet based in 2003 where Ryan is an 'unknown' analyst. I didnt get that.
