Young Jack Ryan CIA analyst must thwart a terrorist plot aimed at the United States. After a bomb is found from the Israeli and Palestine war, a German terrorist plans to use the bomb to start a war. Aimed to target the President of The United States of America at the Superbowl in Baltimore and frame the Russians for the attack to bring Armageddon to the world. Now Jack Ryan must uncover the conspiracy plot with the help of Mr. Clark before the world becomes engulfed in World War 3 where there is no sign of a victor with each side holding nuclear weapons.
The Sum of All Fears is the fourth movie of the Tom Clancy Jack Ran series based on the same name. This time around Ben Affleck takes the place of Harrison Ford in the role of Jack Ryan, being the third to play him in four movies. Affleck did an admirable job for what he was given and in a rare spot actually portrayed a good performance. Affleck usually better in the supporting actually shined in the lead. Surrounded by a strong cast that includes James Cromwell and Morgan Freeman as co-stars, The Sum of All Fears puts realism in the movie. The Sum of All Fears is a solid espionage film that sells extremely well. The movie though was hurt by the terrorist attacks after 9/11 and that event had a lot of people stray away from the movie in theaters but this movie definitely deserves a viewing. The Sum of All Fears receives four nuclear bombs out of five for showing realistic events of tragedy while keeping the terror fresh in the viewers mind.
