Review of The Sum of All Fears (2002) by Sam S — 12 Aug 2011
This is a movie trying to adapt every part of a book into a movie, instead of just being a movie. The first half is painfully hodge-podge and dare I say boring. It gets better, especially once the tension builds after the bomb goes off.
Sadly, the most interesting character in the movie, played by Morgan Freeman, dies at this point. Still, it's an interesting take on a 'zero-sum' scenario between America and Russia, which I would bet is the point of the title.
