Review of The Stupids (1996) by Jeff W — 26 Feb 2009
Wow, this movie was... well stupid! However, the bizarro-meter was fluctuating furiously so I gave it 2-stars. Some dazzling gems include Christopher Lee as the evil version of the same character Robert Keeshan (Captain Kangaroo) plays, David Croenenberg as a postal worker, and film legend Robert Wise as the next-door neighbor.
Yes Robert Wise, editor of Citizen Kane and director of The Haunting, The Sound of Music, West Side Story, and Star Trek: The Motion Picture... in The Stupids. One more note, should John Landis still be directing films that involve child actors and explosions?
