Review of The Stunt Man (1980) by Jeff B — 20 Mar 2011
Wow, what a film. I didn't really know anything about this going into it, just that Peter O'Toole got nominated for Best Actor for it. I loved every moment of it. The opening is perfect, great action, awesome score, and it grabbed my attention immediately.
This movie needs to be seen by more people, as my friends passed by while I was watching it they were drawn to the screen, and from the scenes they saw they wanted to see more. So many great scenes, so many different genres rolled into one film.
And man, the whole time I kept thinking Steve Railsback looked just like Jim Caviezel. Watching this and Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang together would make for an awesome movie party with friends.
