Certainly good for a few laughs, but not much else. The Stuff features some of the worst acting, least likable characters, and absolutely THE MOST nonsensical story development ever. The opening scene consists of an old man finding some steaming white goo bubbling out of the ground. And after studying it for all of five seconds, he EATS a handful of it! Yeah, that seems like something a real person would do.
But in a way, the sheer, ludicrous insanity of this film is what makes it watchable. There are better choices out there if you're looking for a cheesy laugh, but if you're looking for something different, it probably couldn't hurt to try The Stuff.
