Review of The Stuff (1985) by Jesse O — 13 May 2014
Body Snatchers meets The Blob. This funny horror movie is deliciously cheap and full of juicy eighties satire. In fact it is an 80s time capsule, even sneaking in some references to 80s 'fads' (proto-memes).
THe lead, Michael Moriarty is really strange at times but pulls off (barely) holding the movie together. With some weird guest stars like Danny Aiello or Paul Sorvino and some funny slapstick from Garrett Morris the stuff is well worth a watch.
