Review of The Strawberry Statement (1970) by Jeff B — 30 Mar 2010
Pretty dated, very hippie movie starring Bruce Davison as a college student who gets involved in student protests. It picks up as the film goes along and the finale is pretty great as well, but the rest of it is a bit slow.
The soundtrack is great though. This won the Jury Prize at Cannes in 1970, and considering ...if had just won and the whole Cannes debacle in 68, I can see why they picked it.
