Johannes Roberts love letter to the 80's is the greatest horror movie you will see for the next 2 decades. Strangers Prey at Night gets so good that by the end you are looking for awards to hand to Roberts just in case he doesn't know he is a genius. Everybody needs to see this.
The movie is more fun than a human being has a right to expect from a horror movie. The movie creates some of the most amazing sequences of mayhem set to an 80's sound track that you will ever see... ever.
It is so good at times I literally don't understand why Johannes Roberts isn't just given a blank check to make whatever he wants.
Damian Maffei creates one of the most interesting performances of a villain I have ever seen without saying a single word. Without spoiling the movie, there is one scene with Lewis Pullman and Damian that is so iconic every movie lover should see it first hand and will surely become a horror movie fan favorite for generations to come.
The movie is fun. The movie is entertaining. The movie is playing in a theater by you. Go and see it.
