Supposedly this is based on true events...but everything I've read says that it's somewhat based on the Keddie Cabin Murders...not on an actual Kristen McKay and James Hoyt.

Very good film, terrifying parts to imagine...especially when you have been in a similar situation. I used to live in a place that was far from everything else, and I was alone at night with two cats and a sweet boston terrier...I heard noises all the time and I knew that someone or something was watching me, but in this case, for the film, it's different. I did have a gun there if I needed it, and of course I knew how to use it.

Anyways...I wanted to see what was behind the masks of the assailants. I think that Liv and Scott did a good job...they seemed to act like anyone else would in a situaiton such as this. I like the ending/beginning with the two young Christian boys. The start of something they wouldn't understand...was very good---the pamhplets being handed over...

But the fact that they witnessed something so terrible, that they would be mentally wounded for the rest of their lives...the way this was played out was perfect. Such innocence in the face of evil.
