Review of The Strangers (2008) by Isaac T — 26 May 2014
This, to me, is one of the all time scariest movies ever. And contrary to many other reviews I would hesitate to call this a "slasher" film (albeit there is some gore). Also, I do not find the film terribly illogical (only the part with the friend in the house and when they split up afterwards), but what horror movie is perfectly logical? Who can say they think perfectly straight when they're terrified? As far as how believable the story is, it is INSPIRED by true events (I believe 3 different stories, look it up).
Overall, a perfect movie to scare the life out of you if you're home alone out in the country. Perhaps it just depends on what scares you, but the simple premise is probably my biggest fear ever.
