Review of The Strangers (2008) by Amoviecritic — 31 May 2008
Easily among the scariest horror films I've seen in years, it's expertly staged and features a huge collection of memorable scares, very intense confrontations, excellent sound effects, and subtle music.
There was no plot, that was the point. Those expecting a plot with twists, etc. will walk away disappointing; this movie's exactly what it is, which is a couple being relentlessly attacked by masked people.
It's suspenseful and yes, truly scary.
