Review of The Strangers (2008) by Mirandaw. — 29 May 2008
I am an avid fan of horror and this is one of the best I have ever seen. It captures the classic bump in the night style of the 70s, the subtleties of black and white horror flicks, and the new age psychological thriller in one flicker of fear.
The anticlimactic end makes it all the more unnerving and reminds us that reality is the greatest basis for horror. This film is what the horror movie industry needs. Brilliant sound (or lack there of) and an emphasis on acting, not just heavy breathing bimbos for sex appeal.
