Review of The Strangers (2008) by Zachn — 08 Sep 2008
After hearing a number of negative reviews before going to see 'The Strangers' I carried the hope that the film could still prove itself as a worthy contribution to the horror genre. Over the past few years there have been very few films that have succeeded in providing the raw, gritty and chilling horrors that had been invented by films such as the 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre' or the 'Halloween' productions.
In its plot 'The Strangers' owes a lot to films like 'Them' or 'Funny Games', yet stylistically it manages to keep an air of individuality. Overall I would recommend any horror avid to check this one out.
