Review of The Strangers (1998) by Jared S — 18 Aug 2011
This horror flick was average at best as a movie but I thought the actual horror part of the movie was handled quite well. It almost just became a game half way through: are the going to appear now? How about... NOW!?!?
The response one of the strangers gives (when asked why they were doing this) was pretty chilling: "Because your home...".
They did what they did because they were mentally insane - they had no reason and that quote kind of kills it for the rest of the movie in one way but also gets you thinking for the rest of the movie in another way. Scared the shit out of me too.
