Review of The Straight Story (1999) by Douglas F — 05 Mar 2011
Walt Disney Pictures presents a film by David Lynch. That is a very oxymoronic sentence because Lynch's films are usually jammed packed with sex and graphic violence. Not this one though. This G rated film is not your average family friendly drama.
In fact, I doubt kids would be into this at all. But the shooting style is unmistakable Lynch and the story, although bittersweet is charming in its simplicity.
