Review of The Straight Story (1999) by Sean M — 29 Oct 2007
Unusual for a David Lynch film in that it's rated G and a Disney movie. Beyond this, though, it's a charming tale of an old man traveling by tractor to visit his ailing brother a few states over.
Every person he encounters on the way chronicles some part of life, from the runaway teenager to the pastor by the cemetary. Shows that Lynch doesn't have to be weird to make a good movie.
