A touch of Lynchian circular whimsy grafted onto the linear finiteness of an elders odyssey for a forgiveness. The movie is barebones, stripped down of frills. You will never find a movie so inexorably itself, so bare of pretensions and complications.
Other movies play a symphony of different ideas and concerns. This movie plays its one note with the swells and crescendos that only a single life resonating onscreen can bring. So much is implied, by mere suggestions, that nothing need be exlpicitly statesd.
There is no hallmark moments, there are jus the quiety cadences of actual life here. Its a sweeping road narrative ultimately contracted into the smallest compartment: an elderly man's interiority.
