Review of The Stoning of Soraya M. (2009) by Dana A — 13 Mar 2010
A riveting account of oppression, injustice and defiance, yet it is acted beautifully by everyone in the cast and especially by Shohreh Aghdashloo who has to be one of the most underappreciated actresses today.
This movie was not just about stoning of an innocent woman but managed to capture some of the worst injustices toward women in some parts of Iran. It also managed to display how religion can be evil and corrupt and is defiantely a movie that everybody needs to see.
