This was a very interesting, if somewhat depressing movie. Based on a true story, it depicts the still-practiced act of stoning in such a graphic, barbaric, and intensely personal way. It's an awareness raising film which focuses on the continued treatment of women as second class citizens, and the male dominated world in which millions of these women are forced to live and suffer.
