Review of The Sting (1973) by Paul G — 21 Aug 2010
Modern Hollywood could take a lesson from this movie: 40 years after it was made, it still holds up with engaging deep actors, a plot that keeps not only the audience but also the characters guessing, and almost no special effects to speak of.
It is equally amazing to reflect on all the TV series and films that steal from the story, but half-heartedly come up short. Maybe they just need some ragtime piano.
