Set to the ragtime piano rolls of Scott Joplin and against the smoky streets of Chicago, The Sting is a rare breed of crime capers with moments of electric humor and pounding adrenaline rushes. Paul Newman and Robert Redford are professional con-men, and they plan an intricately-woven scam to steal a huge sum of money from an Irish crime lord.

As the viewer wades their way through the thick web of lies, the film grows more and more brilliant as the truth ceases to matter.
