It just doesn't work, which is a shame considering everyone and everything involved. The production design is beautiful, and the actors are great, but the movie is a campy mess with occasional bursts of ingenuity.
Some excellent writing is present, which makes the gaping plot holes that much more aggravating. I love the story, and hoped for a whole lot more.
